Exhibition for innovative packaging solutions

In addition to the top-class lecture programme, Future Resources offers an accompanying exhibition for start-ups and companies that develop or use innovative packaging materials. The focus is on forward-looking solutions – ideally using post-consumer recyclates (PCR) – that show how sustainable packaging concepts can already be successfully implemented today.

The exhibition creates space for visibility, exchange and networking: exhibitors present their materials, technologies and concepts to an expert audience from industry, trade, science and politics. This brings innovation to life and promotes direct dialogue between developers, users and decision-makers.

As exhibition space is limited, the focus is on a compact presentation. The plan is to use small displays, roll-ups or leaflet stands, as well as other space-saving presentation formats. Larger exhibition stands or extensive structures are not planned.

Your special advantage:

Participation in the event entitles you to exhibit free of charge, subject to prior agreement with the organiser. Future Resources thus offers young companies and innovators in particular an attractive platform to present their solutions without additional hurdles.

Anyone who wants to actively shape the packaging world of tomorrow will find the right stage at Future Resources.

How to become an exhibitor:

  • Register for Future Resources in person
Register as a regular participant for the event.

That was Future Resources 2026

In mid-June 2026, around 170 experts from industry, retail, packaging manufacturing, recycling, consultancy and public authorities gathered at the anniversary edition of Future Resources to discuss the future of packaging and the circular economy.

As the day progressed, it became clear that the packaging industry has entered a new phase.

In presentations, panel discussions and masterclasses, topics ranged from the circular economy and recyclability to the use of recycled materials, packaging design and compliance. One theme ran like a common thread through all the presentations: the PPWR.

Whilst discussions in previous years had centred primarily on targets, ambitions and visions for the future, this year the focus was clearly on implementation. The emphasis was on the specific questions companies are currently facing:

➡️ Who is responsible for ensuring compliance with the new requirements?
➡️ How can the necessary data be reliably collected throughout the entire value chain?
➡️ What do declarations of conformity mean in practice?
➡️ And how can recyclability, recycled content and environmental claims be validly verified?

It became clear during the event that the key challenge lies not so much in changing individual packaging designs, but rather in establishing the necessary processes, data structures and partnerships to meet the new regulatory requirements.

Our most important insight:
In future, packaging will be defined not only by its material and design, but increasingly by data, transparency and accountability throughout the entire value chain.
